Whether staircases spaces are narrow or roomy, one will find that there is always scope to introduce some interesting green landscaping.

A narrow strip of landing space is utilized in this home with the installation of a long planter, enabling the planting of a path of bamboo that stretches up the staircase. Another house has full-fledged floating plants in water feature. A bonsai tree offers the same stunning silhouette as the beautiful green tree. The small scene in its entirety acts almost like a living snapshot. Some of the bonsai trees appropriate for the Indian climate are figs, peepal, mango, babool, silver oak, pine and mulberry. Plant a few cacti and fill with pebbles for an attractive and clean finish.
